5 Warning Signs of a Faulty Air Conditioner

A faulty air conditioner can sometimes be obvious and sometimes be hidden. Most people wait until their air conditioning unit fails totally before getting it repaired. Here are some things to look out for:
If you notice a musky like smell when you air conditioning unit is turned on it is an indicator of moulds growing throughout your system. This would require a deep sanitize and clean of the system. Not Cooling Enough
Even when the air conditioning unit is put on full blast you may find that it is not cooling enough. This can mean that your system has low refrigerant or the unit’s compressor has ultimately failed. This is a very common issue amongst units and is an indicator of needing a service or repairs.
If there is water spraying out of the vent of the air conditioning unit, this could be either an indication of a mould build up which blocks the drain or more seriously a refrigerant leak. Weak Air Flow
If there is a weak air flow coming out of the vents, 90% of the time it is because of a failing compressor in the unit. If it is a ducted system, there is a good chance it could also be a damaged duct. Getting this problem fixed as soon as possible is imperative as if not serviced or repaired sooner can cause additional damages costing you a lot more than need be.
